Meet our Team

Sarah holds a BA in Primary Education from the University of Roehampton, the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO), and NPQLTD. She is currently working towards a Master's degree in Educational Leadership.

Sarah has worked in education for over a decade and has been part of STEP Academy Trust since 2019. She began her career teaching in London before moving to East Sussex, where she has taught across all phases of primary education and served as a maths coordinator in two schools. Before joining the Teaching School Hub, Sarah was the SENCo and a member of the senior leadership team at Peacehaven Heights Academy.

Passionate about teacher development and creating pathways into the profession, Sarah is committed to supporting educators at every stage of their career. She particularly enjoys the mentoring aspect of her role and serves as Lead Mentor for STEP's Postgraduate Teaching Apprentices (PGTAs), supporting and developing future teachers as they enter the profession.

Since 2023, Sarah has worked for the Teaching School Hub, leading Initial Teacher Training (ITT) provision and supporting the delivery of the Early Career Framework (ECF). This year, alongside continuing to support all areas of the STEP Institute of Education, she has taken on responsibility for leading National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), further strengthening professional development opportunities for teachers and leaders across the region.
